ABOUT US

John Bosco Institute of Technology (Jobitech), Ondo is a Catholic Missionary non-profit institution established by the Salesians of Don Bosco – a Catholic Religious Congregation founded by St. John Bosco, popularly known as “Don Bosco.” The institute is established to serve the youth of Nigeria according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church and the spirit of St John Bosco. Jobitech aim is to provide courses in some fields of technology to produce craftsmen, technicians and skilled personnel for self-employment, further education and employment required for production and maintenance in industries. Jobitech educational system is the “Preventive System” of St John Bosco, based on “Reason, Religion and Loving-Kindness.”

VISION

A Jobitech with committed Salesians, staff and students who promotes quality and transforming TVET and entrepreneurial training that empowers young people for personal and holistic development as responsible citizens for self-employment, employment services and professional services with the Oratorian approach of Don Bosco.

MISSION

We commit ourselves to effectively educate, train, form and empower young people with the evolving technology that align with labour market skill demands through innovative and quality TVET delivery according to the style of Don Bosco in partnership with lay collaborators and all stakeholders.

OUR MOTTO

The motto of our institute is “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA.” This is a latin phrase which means through hard work we reach Heaven, Challenging every Bosconian to grasp the opportunity presented by each day in the flow of life to the embody the spirit of hard work, sacrifice and commitment to attain life in its fullness.
